DR. Darlene Townsend is a native New Yorker who truly reverences the awesomeness of the Almighty God.  She was an active member for most of her life at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York where Emeritus Rev. Dr. Floyd H. Flake was her pastor.

For many years, Dr. Townsend served faithfully in various capacities including music, youth, auxiliaries, and leadership. 

She received her secular education from Howard University and Miami University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees, respectively.  Her theological studies resulted in a Bachelor’s degree from Vision International University, a Master’s and Doctorate of Ministry in Theology from Life Christian University. 

Throughout her years of advanced learning, Dr. Townsend walked in the Word and “studied to show herself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim. 2:15). As such, she was the recipient of numerous honors and awards for her outstanding achievement in biblical studies.

She has published four books entitled, “The Demise of the Church ~ Carnality, Complacency, and Compromise”; Voices of Victory – Discernment Over Disillusionment”; and Prophetic Dance Movements Availeth Much!” The most recent book is “Spiritual Turbulence – Who Left the Door Open?” Without a doubt, this book is a clarion call for the body of Christ to wake up and stop following false doctrines, false prophets, and unbiblical teachings.

The LORD has also equipped and anointed her to move prophetically in dance and flags. Over the years, she has ministered in plays, special events, weddings, facilitated conferences, and conducted extended workshop training to dance ministries locally and out of state.
